Over the last 15 years, the Llangollen Round Challenge has grown into a hugely popular event. However, due to the complex logistics of managing a mass participation walk over high mountain terrain, it can only be staged as an organized event every three years.
The QR Challenge changes that. This is an adventure you can tackle whenever you want, at whatever pace suits you. Go for an athletic record time in a single day, or divide it into ambling sections to enjoy the beautiful scenery over a weekend.
Using QR codes placed discreetly on wooden posts at key checkpoints, our digital tracking system records your progress and verifies your achievement.

Head to the Wharf Cafe by the horse-drawn canal boats in Llangollen. Open the guide app and scan the first QR code on the notice board to register your start.

Follow the 35-mile route on your interactive screen. Scan each physical QR code on plaques to log your presence and get the next point.
Get Certified
Scan the final QR code at the end of the round. Instantly download a personalized PDF completion certificate detailing your name and official elapsed time!
